Very true. In Pakistan a very small section of the society become bilingual in English and Urdu, although majority are bi/multilinguals but in local languages. With us and perhaps elsewhere too, what matters is not only in which languages one becomes bilingual but also the degree of bilingual and biliterate development of the individual. Among the English + Urdu speaking sections of Pakistani society, a very very small section have mastery over the specific communicative skills- valued by coroporate jungle in Pakistan. The rest is silence.

Thanks. However, I wonder the child should be bilingual in latin and non latin based language or just any two languages, including the dialect of the family.
