Thank you so much for Tragic Spirits! The book is an eye-opener on many fronts. The discussion of forced forgetting has so many resonances with Australian history, too.

I was so amazed that the same rule applies to the spiritual and the earthly realms! After all men mediates everything.

(Insofar as male dominated academia does long term verbalise approval of equal rights I see that the H-bomb of Hypocrisy is missing from your A1 account.) A distinction that amounts to anecdotal observations on my part, after presenting talks in the Genghis Khan Hotel (Ulan Bator) and the University of Inner Mongolia (Huhehot), is that shamanism is in much decline in the latter in the wake of Beijing’s sinicization of religion over the last couple of generations.

Oddly, Dr. Google states in their second definition that, ‘EMASCULATED female power’ is the correct adjective in lieu of ‘LIMITED’ above! I like the irony, albeit not unexpected in an imperially racist lingo, what? Whether in polite or coarse language, a surfeit of derogatory words without masculine gender equivalents, which disparagingly depict women of all ages, constitutes a sexist abomination: e.g. crone, hag, harridan, harpy, shrew, termagant, virago, slut, ‘lush’, just to mention a few of the quasi-printable epithets invented by man.
