I was not aware that people like my Chinese teacher, a Chinese-born linguist speaking several sinoid and two European languages and his family had any identity problems because of or after they fled China.
But EACH woman or girl who was denied German lessons or school in general, because her family felt that was a threat to religion had those, and also much more problems with the German bureacracy than my teacher´s family, and most of these women had experienced domestic violence.
What do you want to say?
Decry the fact that Germany has atrocious laws against refugees, gave up the pretense of being a social state with the infamous Hartz-laws and the fact that education was a pipe dream for the poorer classes, whether German-born or not?
In this case I am with you.
But if you have the idea of keeping children or “only” girls inside the restraints of religious or violent “traditions” by denying them access to education, I tell you: WOMEN CAN BE SEXIST, TOO.
