Any way,I believe bilingual and multicultural background will be beneficial both for mothers and children in the long run if they manage to come through it.

Thank you for posting this – it sounds like fantastic research. Like so many aspects of parenthood, support seems to be the crucial factor in parental (and as a result, I would argue, child) mental health, and this issue is compounded for migrants. I took the easy option – I came home to have my baby where my family could give me free child care and much needed support! I was lucky to have the choice. The intersection of issues of migration, motherhood and choice is a fascinating area for research.
