Next I want to thank my instructor Dr. Li Jia for guiding me to realize the importance of fangyan. After a semester of learning, I really learnt a lot from her. With the development of film and television industry, dialect as a culture has been spread and accepted by more and more people. Dialect often makes people in a strange land feel less lonely, which may be one of the reasons why dialects can appear on various platforms; and for people who use dialect as their mother tongue, dialect may be just a tool for communication, but for others, dialect has a novel feeling; dialect can help us understand the folk customs of a nation or region.
