Connecting with communities on Facebook and Twitter are excellent ways of improving language in a highly contextualised manner, a key element that is often absent from classrooms and textbooks. Blogs, like what is being offered here with Language on the Move are also fantastic forums with which to develop communication skills. Vlogging is yet another approach, which admittedly takes great courage if English is not your first language, but as the well known saying goes, “necessity is the mother of invention” and likewise, here, if you know you HAVE to make a video in front of a wider audience, I can guarantee practising English will totally become a necessity.

It’s an edu-taining strategy for language learning. 🙂
