Having taught Japanese to international students in Japan and JFL learners in Korea, Akiko Hiratsuka arrived in Sydney in 2004 for a postgraduate degree. In this video, she tells us about her multilingual marriage life and childrearing in English, Spanish and Japanese. While her life is intricately connected to three countries, Japan (birthplace), Australia (migration) and Colombia (marriage), she is still searching for a place to call home.
