Kayu Hashimoto

Kayu Hashimoto first came to Australia as a high school student. After four years in Sydney she returned to Japan for a university degree in policy studies. Disillusioned with negative attitudes towards foreign-educated women in Japan, she moved back to Australia to undertake a master’s degree at Macquarie University. Upon graduation, Kayu again moved back to Japan to work forNPO 2050, where she gained significant experience running aid programs. She has now returned to Sydney and started her own NPO group which aims to  improve the wellbeing of women and girls in developing countries.

今回のJapanese on the Moveに登場していただくのはシドニー在住の橋本果遊さん。高校時代を含めた４年間をオーストラリアで過ごし、日本の大学で政策学を学ぶ。４年生の就活中に日系企業がもつ帰国子女に対しての偏見や差別を痛感し、オーストラリアに戻る選択をする。マッコーリ大学でマスターを習得後、NPO2050からの誘いを受け再度日本に戻り、援助プログラムの運営経験を積んだ。現在はシドニーに戻り、主宰としてNPOを立ち上げたばかり。このインタビューでは、就活時の体験と団体の活動内容を中心にお話頂いた。
