Ayumi Mizoshiri

Ayumi Mizoshiri was born in the small town of Miyamura, Kyo-tango City in Kyoto prefecture. After he moved to Osaka for his university education, he met Sally, an English teacher from Australia and his future wife-to-be. Through Sally and her international network, Ayumi began to see the world beyond Japan, and when they started talking about marriage and having a family together, they agreed that Australia would be the best place for their multicultural-family-to-be. They now live in Sydney.

In this episode of Japanese on the Move, Ayumi talks about how welcome he has been made to feel in Australia as well as the professional opportunities he has found.

溝尻歩さんは京都府京丹後市丹後町宮出身。大阪に移り住み大学に通う日々の中、2006年にオーストラリア人英語教師そして将来の奥様サリーさんと出会う。サリーさんの国際的な交友関係を通して日本を越えた選択が出来るようになったという。ご結婚そして子育てを考え出した時、マルチカルチャルな家族にとってオーストラリアが一番良い場所と判断。2009年にオーストラリアに移り住み、シドニーで幸せな生活を送られている。このインタビューでは新しい家族やお友達の暖かさを中心にお話頂いた。
