Martin Serif Derince is a postdoctoral researcher in Ingrid Piller's Alexander-von-Humboldt Professorship team at the Faculty of Education at the University of Hamburg. His research covers areas such as heritage language education, multilingual education, family language policy, and teacher professionalization. He has also worked as a Kurdish language instructor and materials developer.
